Please join the Kensington Historical Society for a special presentation: Dry Oases: Local Prohibitions of Alcohol in Kensington, Damascus, and Takoma Park by Ranjit Dighe Coffee: 7:00 PM, Speaker 7:30 PM Ranjit Dighe, economic historian, will discuss his research into how Kensington and two other towns embraced prohibition long before the nation did and why they kept their prohibitions for more than half a century after national prohibition ended.
